My Brothers,
Our summer break is coming to a close and it is time for us to seek and give light in our role as Masons in the greatest fraternity in the world. I am writing this as we pause to rest and celebrate our working lives in this long weekend and I hope this note finds you all well and enjoying the mild weather. As we look forward to getting back to work, we also will be getting back to the work of the Craft and to that end, please keep in mind our first meeting which will be on the Third Wednesday of September: September 20, 2017 7 pm Collation - Please RSVP our Junior Warden at pcgenovese@gmail.com 8 pm STATED COMMUNICATION We will refresh on protocol and, more importantly, review our very busy upcoming Masonic season. I would also like to open the floor for a meaningful discussion of where we would like our lodge to go. Please make every effort to attend the beginning of this new Masonic year! In lieu of our annual picnic, I would like to encourage brethren and their families to attend the District BBQ for our veterans in Montrose. The Annual Veterans BBQ will be on September 10, 2017, at the VA hospital in Montrose, 2094 Albany Post Rd, Montrose, NY 10548, at 10:30AM. There will be at least 100 veterans and we will need brothers to assist these great men and women, many of whom may be confined to wheelchairs. Brothers are also needed to assist with set up, cooking, cleaning, etc., and, most importantly, engaging in conversation with these great men and women. Please RSVP with a head count, especially if family are attending. Contact Bro. Robert Kretschman at Crotonlodge@gmail.com or call (516) 269-9163 to RSVP or if you need more information on the event. Whether you are able to attend or not, the District is looking for any donations of DVDs, clothing, board games, and books. There is a particularly urgent need for women's clothing suitable for women aged 20 to 30. If you are not able to attend, but can donate any of the above mentioned items, please contact me and I will arrange to receive the goods at the lodge. Finally, in keeping with our Masonic obligations, do keep the people in Texas, especially in Houston and the areas near Corpus Christi in your prayers. I am confident that all of you have been giving generously for their aid. When we reconvene later this month I would like to put together a formal gift on behalf of the lodge. Bring your check books. Until we meet again, and very soon.... Sincerely & Fraternally, Raphael Wong Master Comments are closed.
