Greetings Brethren All,
I apologize for the late notice. I hope this note finds you well and bearing up with the busyness of life -- and the crazyness of the weather! Speaking of which, as you may have already heard, we had to cancel our meeting on March 7 due to weather and safety concerns and postpone the Degree of Entered Apprentice to our next meeting on March 21. March 21, 2018 DEGREE OF ENTERED APPRENTICE Collation 6:00 pm Gavel 7:00 pm Formal attire for officers; Business attire for the brethren RSVP Bro. Junior Warden at pcgenovese@gmail.com Please come out and support our Lodge for this important Degree as we look forward to bringing in seven men found worthy and well qualified to join our ranks. Our Junior Warden, Peter Genovese, will be presiding over the Degree and leading us in the East. We had an excellent time at our Table Lodge last month, as we ritually and Masonically celebrated all that is personally and collectively meaningful to us in the spirit of brotherly love and fun. We were joined by brothers visiting from John Jay Lodge No. 653 and surprised by some distinguished visitors from Grand Lodge, the Judge Advocate, RW Steven Rubin, and RW George Filippidis. They helped make for very joyous and festive evening. Our considerable thanks to Bro. Joe LaSorsa for preparing our fine repast and to Bro. Mario Hernandez and RW James Holden for assisting Bro. LaSorsa with preparation and service. Please be sure to thank these brothers for their service to our Lodge. At that same Table Lodge we also formally announced the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, W Les Horrell, and our Mason of the Year, Bro. Peter Genovese! Both are well deserving of these honors and I hope you will join me in celebrating their achievements by not only congratulating them personally, but joining us in the formal celebration of these awards at the Second Westchester-Putnam District Dinner Dance on Saturday April 28 at the Westchester Manor. Cocktails will start at 7 pm and the dinner will be served at 8 pm. The cost per person is $90. You should let me know if you are planning to attend and mail a check to W Palazola, payable to White Plains Lodge No. 473. Make a note that this is for the District Dinner Dance. The Westchester Manor is at 140 Saw Mill River Road in Hastings-on-Hudson. Please let me know ASAP if you are planning to attend. We need your full name as well as your guest's full name for the place cards. It will be a wonderful evening and a great opportunity to expose your better half to the fraternity where we take good men and make them better! I look forward to seeing you in Lodge!
