Greetings Brethren,
Hopefully the worst of Covid is behind us and everyone and their families have kept healthy. And if anyone did get sick , may it not have been a serious case. We will start having in-person meetings again next month. As we have been doing the last few months, our first meeting on 2/2 will be a Fellowship night. We will not have catered food, however. Instead we will just play it by ear. If there are Brothers coming straight from work that want some dinner, or whatever the case is, we can order some take out or pizzas, etc. It is an opportunity for everyone to catch-up and plan for the next few months. Attire is dress casual. The meeting on 2/16 will be a Stated Communication that we will keep as brief as possible. We might not have a catered dinner again. Attire is jacket and tie. The conclusion of the Third Degree we had in December, is tentatively scheduled for 2/24 at Grand Lodge in NYC, along with our Brothers from Knickerbocker Lodge. Please join us in seeing Dave Brijlall and Ian Goodman complete this accomplishment. The official visit by District Deputy Grand Master R...W...John McAloon has been rescheduled for April. Hopefully even more Brothers decide to come back to the Lodge soon. You are always welcome with open arms, no matter how long it has been since you have been back. However, just a reminder that all Brothers attending Lodge are very strongly encouraged to get their vaccination please. Masks will now be required. I look forward to seeing you soon. Greetings Brethren, many thanks to all of you that made it to our meeting in December. On December 10th, we joined with the Brothers of Knickerbacher Lodge in raising two of our Brothers to the sublime degree of Master Mason. Ian Goodman and Dave Brijlall were given the honor, joined by R...W... Romy Quesada, Andrew Haight and Ramon Viruete. We had a fantastic evening, that saw a very strong ritual, plenty of camaraderie and a very impressive collation. Many thanks to Romy for all his help making this happen. And also a special thank you to W...M Edwin De Guia of Knickerbacher #182 for letting us join them in this memorable evening. And lastly, but cer- tainly not least, a big thank you to our DDGM John McAloon for his help getting our dispensation processed so quickly. The conclusion of this degree will take part at Grand Lodge on Thursday January 13th at 7pm. Please RSVP if you want to go, as we need a head count before hand. We, of course, will work on getting our remaining FCs raised as soon as possible. On December 12th we also held our Holiday Dinner at Casaletto’s in Elmsford. We had a nice turnout and plenty of delicious food. Thanks to all those that joined in on the festivities. The next meeting on the 5th will be a Fellowship Night. There will be a collation, with the price being $10 per head please. Dress is casual. And on January 19th there will be a Stated Communication, where we are expecting a visit from DDGM John McAloon. W...Andrew Lovato Greetings Brothers All, DECEMBER MEETING 12/1 AND HOLIDAY PARTY 12/12 Brethren, many thanks to all of you that made it to our meetings in November! The next meeting on the December 1st will be a Fellowship Night. These informal meetings have been a real good time, with Brothers old and new getting to know one another better. Without question, new bonds are being made and it is really great to see. There will be a collation, with the price being $10 per head please. Dress is casual. The second meeting of the month on December 15th is canceled due to the Holidays. Yet another reminder that our Holiday Party is on December 12th at 4pm. It will again be at Casaletto’s in Elmsford, and the price is $75/person. Please do your best to make it and enjoy some fine company and food. I would like to wish all the Brothers of White Plains Lodge No. 473 and their families a most joyous and blessed holiday season. May our lives only get better in 2022. These last couple of years have been tough indeed, but the meetings these past couple of months have been a small step back towards normalcy. In the past three months, I am pretty certain no one has gotten sick from be- ing there. Hopefully even more Brothers decide to come back to the Lodge soon. You are always welcome with open arms, no matter how long it has been since you have been back. However, just a reminder that all Brothers attending Lodge are very strongly encouraged to get their vaccination please. I look forward to seeing you soon. Fraternally, W...Andrew Lovato Master, White Plains Lodge No 473 Greetings Brothers All,
Brothers, many thanks to all of you who made it to our meetings in October. I am very happy to announce that the ballot to affiliate Worshipful Stephen Petty with White Plains Lodge passed. We are all pleased to have this fine gentleman as a member of our Lodge. The meeting on October 20th also saw R...W...Michael Grenadier fulfill his last duty as District Deputy Grand Master, before giving up the role. He was kind enough to help me out and step-in as Chaplain. We were all honored and we thank you R...W... for your many years of service to the Craft. Personally, I sincerely appreciate all the guidance and advice you have given me over the years. Thank you. The next meeting on November 3rd will be a Fellowship Night. We will first have a collation downstairs, but I do not plan on opening and closing a meeting upstairs. Instead, I ask that the Entered Apprentices and Fellowcrafts bring their pamphlets so we can work on proficiency for the next degree. It is a great opportunity for the older Brothers to get to know the new guys and vice versa. We all hang out and have a good time. The meeting on November 17th will be a Stated Communication. I am very excited to announce the return of our Holiday Party. Mark your calendars for December 12th at 4pm. It will again be at Casaletto’s in Elmsford, and the price is $75/person. Please do your best to make it and enjoy some fine company and food. Just a reminder that all Brothers attending Lodge are strongly encouraged to get their COVID vaccination please. I look forward to seeing you soon. W...Andrew Lovato, Master White Plains Lodge 473 Greetings Brethren All,
OCTOBER MEETINGS 10/6 AND 10/20 Brothers, many thanks to all of you who made it to our meeting on September 15th. We had a really nice turnout, and the people there enjoyed a very nice dinner from La Boca. Thank you Brother Alessandro! We then had our meeting which we were able to keep nice and brief. It was especially nice to have some of our Fellowcraft back, including Brother’s Russ Michel, Dave Brijlall, Ricky Maranan and Ian Goodman. There were also a couple of Master Masons that made it back for the first time in a while, including Worshipful Les Horrell and Brother Jermaine Smith. We all were able to catch up and share some good laughs. The next meeting on the October 6th will be a Fellowship Night. We will first have a colla- tion downstairs, ($10) at 7:00 PM. I do not plan on opening and closing a meeting upstairs. In- stead I ask that the Entered Apprentices and Fellowcraft bring their pamphlets so we can work on proficiency for the next degree. The other Brothers will work with you, perhaps have a drink and commingle. If someone wants to bring a deck of cards and chips, that would be great, just as long as we get some studying done first! Some other Brothers will likely go upstairs and start discussions and preparations for our next degree. The meeting on the 20th will be a Stated Communication. Business casual, dress shirt and slacks for both communications. Just a reminder that all Brothers attending Lodge are strongly encouraged to get their vaccination please. I look forward to seeing you in October. Fraternally, W...Andrew Lovato Master, White Plains Lodge No 473 Brethren All, Greetings,
STATED COMMUNICATION WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 15th @ 8:00 PM Brethren, I hope everyone is enjoying the summer. As it winds down, the Lodge is getting into gear again. You are summoned for our first meeting, in quite some time, on Wednesday, September 15th, at 8:00 PM. I hope all of you will make your best effort to make it back to the Lodge on this night. I look forward to seeing my Brothers again and having a nice time catching up with everyone. We will have a collation at 7:00 PM, ($10.00). Please RSVP to the master if you plan to attend the collation. Dress: Business casual. I also want to thank all the Brothers, friends and family that made it to the Parking Lot BBQ, back in June. We had a nice turn out, along with plenty of very good food. It was pretty high-end indeed. A good time was had by all. The Officers have been meeting-up, and are looking forward to the start of a fantastic Masonic year. Let’s all have a nice evening together on 9/15. See you then.
